Sherwood lacrosse players,
The Sherwood Youth Lacrosse Board is looking for high school student representatives to their board.  This is an opportunity for you to help improve the youth lacrosse experience in Sherwood, while also gaining valuable insight into how youth sports programs operate.  It will also be an opportunity for you to earn volunteer hours, and gain experience to include on your resume.  The board will be selecting one young woman (grades 10-12) and one young man (grades 10-12) to be the student representatives to the board.  The selected individuals will be asked to attend board meetings (generally one per month, in the evening) leading up to the spring season.  They may also be asked to help with other events throughout the lacrosse season as their schedule allows (duties will not interfere with high school lacrosse).  If you are interested, please prepare a single page application that includes the following information:

1. Name

2. E-mail address

3. Current Year in School (e.g., 10th, 11th, or 12th grade)

4. GPA

5. Lacrosse Experience

6. Are you a certified lacrosse referee? (not required, but would be a benefit)  If so, indicate number of years of referee experience.

7. In 200 words or less describe why you want to be the student representative to the board, and what you hope to get out of the position.

Please submit your application via email to the boys or girls commissioner no later than October 31st:
Girls commissioner: Jesse D'Elia, jesse.delia.jd@gmail.com Boys commissioner: Matt Fehrenbacher, mfehrenbacher@yahoo.com — If you are interested in getting a head start on requesting a volunteer spot for the spring season please be in touch!

 All the best,

Coach Sanford
